Soba App
Use the ChatGPT Plus or Pro you already pay for
An app asks. Your machine answers, on the plan you already hold, through Codex. There is nothing more to buy, and your login never leaves the computer it is on.
- Uses
- ChatGPT Plus or Pro
- Costs you
- $20 to $200 a month, already paid
- Runs on

Three steps, once
-
Have Codex working
Install Codex, then run
codexonce and sign in. -
Install Soba App and paste the link
Open the app's settings and choose to connect your own AI. It gives you a link with its own connect key in it; paste that into the Soba app.

Approve the code in your browser
It shows you eight characters. You approve them where you are already signed in to that app, and the machine starts serving. Nothing is copied and pasted, because the credential is written straight to your machine and is never displayed to anyone.
Why it works this way
The plan you already hold serves the run, on your machine, in your own account. The app on the other end gets an answer and never the account that produced it.
Codex cannot ask you for permission mid-run yet. A run that would need to ask tells you that up front rather than deciding on your behalf.
Every run is served at user-subscription, which is Soba's word
for who already paid. Anything that would cost you money on top stops rather than quietly
spending it.
What the app gets, and what it does not
It gets the answer, and how much was used so it can show you. It does not get the account that produced it, any key you have pasted on that machine, or any file the agent read while it worked. Those never leave the computer.
